Suspension lowering is typically sought after by riders wanting to be able to touch the ground for stability or new riders looking for confidence. Certain types of riding also require lowering of the suspension. When done properly, lowering is completely reversible.
What's Included
- Inspect fork assemblies prior to disassembly
- Disassembly and inspection of components and wear items
- Cleaning of components
- Install of lowering spacers
- Install of shorter springs**
- Set preload
- Replace oil
- Set compression adjusters
- Set rebound adjusters
- Test run on dyno to verify settings
Notes
- No additional labor fee for adding a service to a lowering.
- To achieve proper sag measurements and ride height after lowering, fork springs with increased rates are needed. Some exceptions like people who are light may get away with cutting stock springs.
- Lowering your suspension can change the way your bike feels and handles. We recommend lowering only 1" max to retain good ground clearance and handling characteristics. (Lowered seats and ride time can often make up the difference if wanting to go lower.) Lowering beyond 1" can make the suspension uncomfortable and almost impossible to set up without re-valving.
*Price does not include cost of oil, seals, bushings, spacers or new springs.
**Cutting down of stock springs will be charged 30 minutes of labor
